Métisse Music is happy to announce the signing of Les Frères Raymond, Christophe and Tony. The Mike Westbrook band will perform on October 13 at the Festival Jazz en Nord
near Lille to celebrate the re-release of their album “OFF ABBEY ROAD” on Enja Records. Westbrook’s masterpiece “LONDON BRIDGE IS BROKEN DOWN” has also been reissued as a double CD and is available through BJO/Virgin.

Young German jazz pianist Michael Wollny (ACT) can be heard in a solo concert at a great hall in Paris, Théâtre des Abesses, on October 18; Wollny is a unique German talent, perfectly original and worth any detour you might need to make to discover him or his trio [em].

The German media have adopted Jun Miyake “STOLEN FROM STRANGERS” (Yellowbird/Enja): from intellectual weekly “die Zeit” which draws a portrait of the artist to articles in all the big jazz and hifi magazines (Jazz Podium, Jazzeit, Jazzthing, Audio etc.) but also on mtv.de and in the Diners Club magazine and on radio, the enthusiasm is unanimous and widespread. Many reviews point out the beautiful voice of Lisa Papineau on two tracks.

Almost 4 years after their debut, UK blues group Nublues second CD “SNOW ON THE TRACKS” will be available from October 30, again through French independent Dixiefrog.
