Posted June 08, 2010Vieux Farka Touré will perform at the official World Cup Kick-Off concert this Thursday at Soweto Stadium. The stadium tickets have sold out, and Vieux looks set to have his chance to shine in front of 1 billion+ worldwide tv viewers. His set is scheduled for shortly after 9pm Jo-burg time (GMT+2) straight after a video tribute to Nelson Mandela. He is also going to guest on K’Naan’s set and play guitar during the finale.
